Recording still pictures while recording motion
pictures
Still pictures can be recorded even while recording a motion picture.
During motion picture recording, press the shutter button fully to record a
still picture.
• The camera records a picture with the right lens during recording of a motion picture
with the left lens.
Make sure that your fingers are not over either of the lenses.
• You can perform burst recording while recording a motion picture.
• When set to [ ], settings will automatically be [ ].
When set to [ ] or [ ], focus will be fixed to the settings for the first picture.
Note
•
You can record up to 6 pictures per motion picture recording.
• Simultaneously recorded still pictures will be recorded in an aspect ratio of [W], and picture
size of [9M].
• Because the motion pictures and still pictures are recorded with separate left and right lenses,
the angle of view in the motion picture and still pictures may not match.
• The camera may take a few moments to focus before recording the picture.
• Recordable pixels, picture quality and recordable number of pictures are displayed by pressing
the shutter button halfway.
• Zooming will stop when a picture is recorded while zooming.
• Operation sound of the shutter button and the lens may be recorded when a picture is taken
during motion picture recording.
• The flash setting is fixed to [Œ].
• When using the built-in memory, pictures taken when taking a motion picture will not be
recorded.
• You cannot record pictures during 3D motion picture recording.
